LGBTQIA+ Wedding Celebrant Perth

Your Love. Your Rules. Your Perfect Day. 🌈

You've waited for this moment. You've planned for this moment. You've found the one. Now find a celebrant who actually gets it.

Hi, I'm Mark, Perth's fun, inclusive wedding celebrant and MC. I proudly celebrate all love stories, and I've had the absolute honour of marrying LGBTQIA+ couples across Perth and wider Western Australia since marriage equality became law in 2017.

Whether you're planning a glittery celebration in Fremantle, an intimate swan Valley ceremony, a barefoot beach elopement in Cottesloe, or something totally off the map, I'm here to make it legal, meaningful, and genuinely unforgettable.

A Celebrant Who Actually Gets It

Not all celebrants are created equal. When it comes to your LGBTQIA+ wedding, you want someone who doesn't just tolerate your love story, someone who genuinely celebrates it without a script that feels like it was written for someone else's wedding.

Coordinating multiple vendors on your wedding day is stressful. That's why LGBTQIA+ couples across Perth love that Mark offers a complete wedding service, all in one.

  • LGBTQIA+ Wedding Celebrant: A personalised, legally binding ceremony that reflects your story, your vows, and your way.

  • Professional Wedding MC: Smooth, energetic, and funny when you want funny and heartfelt when it matters. Your reception runs like clockwork.

  • Music Curation ("Music Jock"): Carefully selected ceremony and reception music that sets the exact mood, no awkward silences, no wrong songs.

  • Ceremony Audio Recording: A keepsake recording of your vows and ceremony to treasure long after the confetti settles.

One point of contact. One consistent energy. One less thing to worry about.

One Person. Ceremony + MC + Music. No Drama.

Same-Sex Marriage in Australia | The Legal Bit, Made Simple

Australia legalised same-sex marriage on 9 December 2017 under the Marriage Amendment (Definition and Religious Freedoms) Act 2017. LGBTQIA+ couples across Australia have had exactly the same legal right to marry as any other couple ever since.

As a registered civil marriage celebrant authorised by the Commonwealth Attorney-General's Department, Mark can legally marry same-sex and LGBTQIA+ couples anywhere in Perth and throughout Western Australia.

What the legal process looks like for same-sex couples:

  • Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM): Must be lodged at least one calendar month before your ceremony. Mark handles this with you, start to finish.

  • Identification documents: Proof of identity (birth certificate or passport) confirming both parties are legally free to marry.

  • The legal monitum: Australian marriage law requires a specific declaration during the ceremony. Mark weaves this seamlessly in, no awkward interruptions.

  • Two witnesses: Two adults present at your ceremony. Friends, family, anyone over 18.

  • Registration & certificate: Mark lodges all documents with Births, Deaths & Marriages WA after your ceremony. Your official certificate arrives within a few weeks.

Whether you're in the early planning stages or your wedding is right around the corner, I'd love a chat. No pressure. No sales pitch. Just a relaxed conversation about how I can help make your same-sex wedding in Perth everything you've imagined.
